Downtown Disney Hotels are a great alternative if you are not staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts.

These Hotels are very nice and luxurious with all of the amenities you would expect from a Disney World Hotel.

Although they are located on Disney Property, they are not owned or operated by the Walt Disney Company.

All of the Hotels are situated on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, which is right off of I-4, and in easy reach of the Outlet Mall, Grocery Stores and Gas Stations, and of course the Disney Theme Parks and Downtown Disney.

The Hotels at Downtown Disney have Complimentary on-site transportation from hotel to Walt Disney World Theme Parks (some even go to the Outlet Malls), great rates or deals, large pools (usually multiple), clean rooms, nice outdoor space, and yummy restaurants.

Some offer priority seating for Disney Dinner Shows and Disney Theme Park Restaurants; and preferred tee times at the Disney championship golf courses, meeting and banquet facilities for group gatherings or weddings, balconies, spa, water play grounds, character breakfasts and extra magic hours.

All of the Hotels are within walking distance to Disney Downtown Orlando. Step outside to enjoy great dining, shopping, and entertainment!

The Doubletree Downtown Disney Hotel is a beautiful hotel, featuring only one and two bedroom, spacious suites. This setup is great for large families since the two room suites sleep up to 6 people (up to 4 adults) and the 3 room suites sleeps up to 8 people. These rooms are money savers compared to the Walt Disney Resorts in which you would need to book multiple rooms, or pay extra for Disney World Villas.

The Best Western Downtown Disney Hotel has private balconies in every room, a heated pool, and meeting space and banquet facilities. It is a high-rise with 18 stories’, which provide great views of Disney Epcots nightly fireworks; IllumiNations Reflections of Earth, and the Disneyworld area. Rooms sleep up to 4 (add a rollaway to sleep 5). It is farthest away from Downtown Disney but close to the Crossroads Shopping Center.

The Hilton Downtown Disney Hotel is a large hotel with a lot of convention guests. Super luxurious, it offers Extra Magic Hours and Character Breakfast, among other things. This is the closest Hotel to Downtown Disney and the only one to offer you the extra magic hours. It has rooms that sleep up to 4, suites that sleep up to 6, and also offers special PURE rooms for people with allergies (for an additional charge).

The Hotel Royal Plaza Downtown Disney has very large rooms, the “best” plush beds, and kids 10 years or under eat free at dinner time. Now that is cool! The rooms sleep from 4 people (standard) to 5 people (rooms with sleeper sofa).

The Wyndham Hotel is a nice choice for a family of 4 or under with children. It has a large water play park that they call the Oasis Aquatic Playground, and also offers character breakfasts. The rooms only sleep up to 4 people. The nicer and larger rooms are located in the Tower portion of the Hotel.

The Holiday Inn is recently remodeled and has great pools. We love the kids eat free, and the packages they offer. The standard rooms sleep 4 people and the suites sleep 5-6 people. I like the free high speed internet and the Bath and Body Works products.

This hotel is my family's favorite! I could spend all day exploring the grounds and hotel. The Buena Vista Palace is a modern, kid friendly hotel. My children love having fun on Recreation Island, searching for the wildlife bracelets, and taking a walk around outside at night before bed to unwind. This hotel has the largest grounds (27 acres) that are beautifully landscaped for your enjoyment. This is the only one of the Hotels with a relaxing full-service spa and salon. It has a 27 story tall high-rise that offers breathtaking views of Walt Disney World Resort and the IllumiNations, Reflections of Earth nightly fireworks at Epcot. Standard rooms sleep up to 4 people ($20.00/per night for a roll away to sleep 5 people) and suites sleep up to 6 people.
