Spaceship Earth at Night Disney Epco

Tip #1

Planning Ahead and finding Disney resort packages ~ this is the first step in planning a successful Disney vacation.

Disney World consists of 4 Theme Parks, 2 Water Parks, 22+ Resorts & Hotels, Downtown Disney, and lots of delicious food choices. So plan ahead, make sure you don’t aim to high, and save money by finding great deals on buying tickets, trading pins, and other items that might be needed on your vacation ahead of time.

Tip #2

You can’t do it all. Not only is there the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios to visit, but Disney offers a wide variety of Disney Sports and Recreation for you and your family to enjoy. So pick out some number one favorite things to do this time, and leave some for the next trip.

If you try and do too much, you will end up exhausted, and needing a vacation from your vacation! Also take into consideration your child’s age (some rides have height restrictions, but they do offer parents Ride Swap), rides that might be closed for refurbishment, and any shows or parades you would like to see.

Tip #3

Whether you’re booking a stay at one of the Disney World Resorts, or planning a nice breakfast, lunch, or dinner at one of the character buffets, you definitely want to think about Disney Reservations.

You can book a room on Disney’s website up to 180 days in advance, or up to 500 days if you call them directly or go through a travel agent. With dining reservations, you can book up to 90 days. They fill up fast, so don’t miss out, book ahead of time.

Disney Resort Boat Transportation

Tip # 4

Disney World Transportation is a hassle free, complimentary system, consisting of buses, monorails, and boats. Take full advantage of this wonderful way to get around Disneyworld for free. You don’t have to stay on site to use Disney transportation.

Tip #5

With average temperatures in the 60’s in January, and the high 90’s in July, plus extremely high humidity and lots of unexpected showers, it is very important to keep in mind the Disney World Weather, and plan for it.

Don’t let the weather be a damper on your Disney vacation, plan ahead and be prepared.

Tip #6

OK, so we are human and we have to eat, but the big questions are; how much do you want to spend on food, how much time do you want to spend eating, and where do you want to eat?

There are so many wonderful and fun places to eat at Disney including Full Service Dining Restaurants, Quick Service Dining, and In-Room Dining. Plan your Disney Dining ahead of time to ensure you get reservations where and when you want, and to save money by bringing snacks and drinks to the parks and resorts with you.

Tip #7

Make your itinerary ahead of time, plan your day out, and know what you are doing before you go. I can’t stress this Disney World tip enough, study the Disney World maps to familiarize yourself with the theme parks you will be visiting.

Don’t waist precious time wandering around lost, or arguing on which way to go and what attraction to ride on next. With a little pre-planning your day will be a breeze and you will take advantage of the best times to watch the parades, and the best times to ride the major attractions.

Expedition Everest at Disney Animal Kingdom

Tip #8

It is unbelievable the difference in park ticket prices depending on how long you’re staying at Disneyworld, if you want to “park hop”, or if you want an expiration date. So planning ahead and buying the appropriate Disney Tickets can be a real money saver.

With so many options, you need to know what is available for you, and what you can save. Use these Disney World Tips wisely.

No need to waste those precious tickets, plan your days out carefully, and take everything into consideration, like the time it takes for dining, pool time, rest or down time, the amount of days you will be staying, and if you plan on going off Disney to other places like Universal Studios Orlando or Sea World Orlando.

Tip #9

Keep in mind the time of year when planning your trip to Disney. There are lots of factors to consider, like the Disney crowd; Value season is the slowest time of the year here at Disney, which means lower crowds and cheaper prices.

But a Walt Disney Holiday is a time to remember, with beautiful and exciting decorations for Christmas and Halloween. Even though the crowds are at their highest, Disney compensates by keeping the parks open extra hours (sometimes till 1 in the morning), and with special events, parades, and firework shows.

Tip #10

Make a budget and try to stick to it; it’s very easy to get carried away in the Disney magic. Help your children manage their spending money by buying Disney Dollars. Bring your own stroller if you have small children, pack plenty of snacks and protein bars & water or juice. Buy some Disney toys, stickers, coloring books, or tattoos before you get there.

All of these Disney World Tips will help you stick to your budget.

Also try taking pictures of your children holding the toys and stuffed friends that they are crying and begging you to buy. That way they can see the toys later, but you don’t have to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on toys they don’t really need.

Big Disney world tips for many families is Disney Trading Pins. Many people think they won’t be interested in trading pins in the parks and resorts, but once you get there and see the fun of trading, it will cost a big chunk of your budget for the pins if you buy them from Disney.

Buy them ahead of time and save big money.

You can get Disney Trading Pins for as little as $1.99 ea. or 3 for $5.00, and you can pick them out yourself!

Or at the parks, a pack of 7 pins costs almost $30.00.
