Disney Bay Lake Tower is the Best Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for views of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks, and the most breathtaking views of Disney World Orlando!

Are you ready to Explore Disney Bay Lake Tower?  Let's have fun at one of the newest Disney Vacation Club Resorts.  A beautiful Disney Beach Resort.  It is one of the closest Disney Resort Hotels to the Magic Kingdom, Disney Contemporary Resort, and Disney World Monorail.

This gorgeous and modern resort opened in 2009 and is the best Walt Disney World Resort for its views of the Magic Kingdom and nightly fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle.

To me, you can’t get any closer to the magic than a Theme Park View Villa at the Disney Bay Lake Tower. 

I love seeing Tomorrowland, Big Thunder Mountain, the Astro Orbitor, Space Mountain and Cinderella’s Castle from my own private space, high above the hustle and bustle below.

When night falls you can even enjoy your own private firework show from your balcony, complete with the Wishes Disney Music soundtrack playing from your TV!  What a great way to make your Walt Disney World Vacation more memorable!

~~~~~ Disney Bay Lake Tower ~~~~~

Of all the Walt Disney World Resorts, Disney Bay Lake Tower is the only one you can’t visit just for the fun of it.  Check in for the resort is actually at the Disney Contemporary Resort, and you must use your room key to access the main lobby doors of the tower.

There is access to the Tower, however, from the Contemporary’s fourth floor via a suspended covered walkway (the Sky Way Bridge) which oddly enough leads to the fifth floor of the Bay Lake Tower!

This entrance also requires a valid room key to access BUT  if you want to visit the Bay Lake Tower and are not staying there, you can easily find access behind a guest entering or exiting the bridge on the Contemporary side. (They won’t mind!).

The views from the Tower are not the only thing Bay Lake is popular for.  They have a gorgeous swimming pool complete with a 20-foot tall, 148-foot long water slide!  The slide itself is a piece of art featuring beautiful glass blocks and even a Mickey Mouse Icon!

~~~~~ Disney Bay Lake Tower Pool ~~~~~

The Bay Cove Pool is a zero-entry pool, with an ADA approved accessible slide, awesome child’s water play area, and whirlpool.  It has a Ping-Pong table by the Bar for extra Disny fun.

My favorite is a large fire pit next to the Jacuzzi with seats around it and a great view of Bay Lake and The Seven Seas Lagoon.  Now that is a cool pool!

Don’t miss the Movies Under the Stars Disney Movie night.  Watch a great Disney Movie at night under the stars; either on the Disney Beaches or at the pool.  There is also a large fire pit on the beach by the marina!

Located just outside of the pool is a covered picnic area and numerous grills on a patio by itself with gorgeous views of the Disney Bay Lake.  It is a very relaxing spot to hang out for lunch or dinner and enjoy your time at the Bay Lake Tower.

Because it’s one of the Walt Disney Resorts that is on the lake, you can also enjoy a great view of the nightly show, Disney’s Electrical Water Pageant, which has been running since 1971, and is the longest running show in Walt Disney World!

Disney Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Resort are both located right across the street from the Magic for Quick and easy access.  You can take the Covered Sky Way Bridge to the Contemporary and hop on the Monorail, take a Disney Boat, or just walk right over to the Magic Kingdom on a paved walking trail!

Disney makes it fun and easy to get around with Disney Transportation!

~~~~~ Bay Lake Tower Lobby ~~~~~

The Disney Bay Lake Tower is an architectural piece of art.  Crescent in shape and jaw dropping from the moment you enter the 2 story lobby. Filled with wood and glass, it is a perfect match for its neighbor, the Disney Contemporary Resort.

Standing just inside the main lobby doors you will see a unique floor plan with a bridge walkway on the second floor.

Beautiful modern lighting with ultra-modern chairs and furniture, and floor to ceiling windows with an incredible view, providing a relaxed atmosphere you have to see to experience.

Beyond the windows around back is an awesome fountain near the pool area, and a view of the Disney World Monorail around front.

There are 15 stories in the tower. On the roof you’ll find the Top of the World Lounge.  With walls of windows, can you imagine the views you could enjoy while having an appetizer or a drink?

Visiting the “Top” is our “Must Do” for the Bay Lake Tower.  We rate these views #1 at Disney World!

You can see much more than the Magic Kingdom from the top.

With almost 360 degree views you can see Spaceship Earth, the Swan and Dolphin, the Grand Floridian and Polynesian Resorts, Osceola County, and beautiful Florida! 

Be sure to bring your camera and binoculars with you for great Disney Pictures.

Just like all of the Disney Villas, Disney goes all out with spacious rooms that have custom modern pieces (equivalent to a 2 bedroom villa) that my family loves. My children’s favorites are the sliding bathroom door, floor to ceiling windows, and the pull-out pantry.

My kids get most excited about the Community Hall.  Where they can hang out and play tons of fun activities and Disney Games.

They have video games, coloring pages, foosball, Ping-Pong, TV, Disney Pin Trading daily at 7:00 pm, and other activities!  You can even check out Disney Sports Equipment for tennis, basketball, bocce ball, and shuffleboard.

For outdoor activities at the Disney Bay Lake Tower, try Children's Fishing Excursions and Bass Fishing Excursions at the Contemporary marina.

There is also Disney World Water Sports such as: Parasailing, Tubing, Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, Watercraft Rentals, and Disney Volleyball.  So much to do at the Disney Beaches!

Also available is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage and Specialty Cruises, such as the Intimate Dining Cruise or the Fireworks Cruise. A great way to add more Disney Magic to your Orlando Florida Vacation.

The Sky Lounge is the only Disney Resort Dining at the Disney Bay Lake Tower.  But a quick walk across the Sky Bridge takes you to all of the Disney World Resort Restaurants, Disney Shopping, Disney Arcade, Disney Pin Trading, and Disney's Contemporary Convention Center (which hosts Disney Pin Trading Nights).

There is more than enough Disney Fun at the Bay Lake Tower to keep you and your kids happy while visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
